Jawa Timur – Presiden Prabowo Subianto meresmikan Museum Marsinah dan Rumah Singgah di Nganjuk, Jawa Timur, sebagai simbol penghormatan terhadap perjuangan buruh dan perlindungan hak pekerja, Sabtu (16/5/2026).
Dalam sambutannya, Presiden menegaskan Marsinah merupakan simbol keberanian kaum kecil dalam memperjuangkan keadilan. Ia menyebut tragedi yang menimpa Marsinah tidak boleh terulang di Indonesia yang berlandaskan nilai kemanusiaan dan keadilan sosial.
“Museum ini menjadi tonggak penghormatan bagi perjuangan buruh Indonesia,” ujar Prabowo.
Menurutnya, peristiwa yang menimpa Marsinah seharusnya tidak perlu terjadi karena Indonesia dibangun di atas falsafah Pancasila yang menjunjung nilai kemanusiaan dan keadilan sosial.
Sementara Menteri Ketenagakerjaan Yassierl menyebut, Museum tersebut juga akan difungsikan sebagai pusat edukasi sejarah ketenagakerjaan, termasuk perjuangan upah minimum, hak cuti hamil, hingga kebebasan berserikat.
Pemerintah berharap keberadaan museum ini menjadi pengingat pentingnya penghormatan terhadap hak asasi pekerja dan mencegah kekerasan terhadap buruh di masa mendatang.
