Kab. Bandung Barat – Longsor menerjang area proyek PLTA Upper Cisokan di Kampung Cimarel, Desa Sukaresmi, Kecamatan Rongga, Jum’at (1/5/2026) siang. Tebing di kawasan tersebut ambrol sekitar pukul 14.00 WIB, diduga kuat dipicu hujan deras yang mengguyur wilayah itu.
Kepala Pelaksana BPBD Bandung Barat, Asep Sehabuddin, membenarkan kejadian tersebut. Ia memastikan hingga saat ini tidak ada laporan korban jiwa.
“Informasi awal dari camat, kejadian sekitar jam dua siang. Tidak ada korban, besok tim akan turun meninjau lokasi,” tegasnya.
Sementara itu, Camat Rongga, Asep Badrup, mengungkapkan longsor terjadi saat intensitas hujan tinggi melanda kawasan tersebut. Kondisi tanah yang labil diduga menjadi pemicu utama runtuhnya tebing.
“Curah hujan cukup besar, itu yang diduga memicu longsor,” ujarnya.
Meski material longsor menghantam area proyek, situasi dipastikan tidak menimbulkan korban karena lokasi dalam kondisi steril dari aktivitas pekerja.
“Sudah kami pastikan tidak ada korban. Kebetulan hari ini libur kerja,” tambahnya.
Tebing yang longsor diketahui berada di kawasan yang dikenal warga sebagai Bukit Pasir Datar.
Titik longsor berada di area proyek terowongan, tepatnya di jalur tailrace tunnel outlet—infrastruktur vital yang nantinya berfungsi mengalirkan air dari turbin ke reservoir.
Peristiwa ini menjadi peringatan serius terhadap potensi risiko di kawasan proyek strategis, terutama saat cuaca ekstrem. Pemerintah dan pihak terkait diminta meningkatkan kewaspadaan serta memastikan standar mitigasi bencana dijalankan secara ketat.
